In this episode, we begin our Colorado trip by visiting the Flat Tops and Rocky Mountain National Park. We start off at the Stillwater Trailhead just outside of the town of Yampa, Colorado to hike up to the Devil's Causeway, one of the most notable landmarks within the Flat Tops range. After hiking up to the Causeway, we made our way towards Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park (where we would be staying for the next couple days). Before passing through the park, we stopped off at a waterfall just outside the town of Grand Lake at the park's western entrance. We then drove over Trail Ridge Road, where we saw some elk wandering about. The next day we did a loop hike in the park that passes by several beautiful alpine lakes. After completing our hike, we then headed up the side of the mountains to get to the Alpine Visitor Center on the top of the alpine tundra by taking the Old Fall River Road (the former main road up to the top; it is unpaved and now one-way because of how narrow it is). The next morning we arrived at the Brainard Lake trailhead near Ward to take a hike up to Lake Isabelle, one of my favorite alpine lakes in both Colorado and probably the entire country. Stay tuned for the next episode which is coming shortly (hopefully). 0:00 Intro 1:25 Hike to Devil's Causeway 6:47 Adams Falls 7:31 Elk on Trail Ridge Road 8:14 Lakes Loop Hike 14:14 Old Fall River Road (w/Moose) 15:13 Alpine Visitor Center & Forest Canyon Overlook 16:30 Lake Isabelle 21:57 Outro
