Tourism is down in Las Vegas: Here's why | FOX 10 Phoenix

Fewer tourists are coming to Las Vegas, and experts say it's largely about money. International travel is down, especially from Mexico and Canada. For a city that relies heavily on tourism, that kind of drop hits hard. According to new figures from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), visitor volume in June was down 11.3% compared to the same month in the previous year. This marks the sixth consecutive monthly decline and is the steepest percentage drop since early 2021. For the first six months of the year, total visitation is down 7.3%. The LVCVA attributed the continued slump to "persistent economic uncertainty and weaker consumer confidence." FOX's Kennedy Hayes has more.
