ThoughtPlay Lab embraced function & style for the state-of-the-art office of a global investment organization – Citco. This 1 lakh fifty thousand square foot office located in Hyderabad, India is spread across four floors with organic and flexible collaborative spaces. The project embodies the idea of a “GLOCAL VILLAGE” by itself, with a fusion of Citco core values and local culture.The design was conceptualized as a journey across India showcasing the diverse art, architecture, culture & landforms through various design forms & materials. Some of the spatial concepts included the Himalayas, the loftiest mountain systems, the unique Indo-Islamic architectural style of the Mughal empire, the lush yellow mustard fields of Punjab, the cool beaches of Goa & the calm backwaters of Kerala. Wellness and sustainable properties were implemented across the design through various factors. The access to natural daylight in abundance in all work zones, biophilia(live plants) used as space dividers between work zones & circulation pathways, intelligent lighting & aircon systems, air purifiers, and use of LEED-certified sustainable materials reinforces the foundation of a healthy working environment in an office. The design further integrates flexibility with a variety of spaces for users to work seamlessly across work lounges,open café style seating, and private &open workstations. Complete with modern aesthetics, amenities & functionality, this re-imagined workplace welcomes users into their office and also helps the organization attract new potential talent.
