Filmed on 22/09/2018. A fun day at the local Scarborough North Bay Railway for the annual Train Gala. Here is the full locomotives running during the gala: 1931 'Neptune' 4-6-2 1932 'Triton' 4-6-2 1933 'Poseidon' 4-6-2 570 'Robin Hood' 4-6-4T 'Georgina' 4-4-0ST Firstly and starting at Pleasolm Park, we see the departure of 1933 'Poseidon' with a service to Scalby Mills. This is one of the 4 locomotives which runs as diesel hydralic locomotives in action. Next what is to be seen is the only steam locomovie at the North Bay Railway arrives with a service from Scalby Mills. Seeing Georgina running round the loop to join the train as it prepares with a service bound for Scalby Mills via the passing loop. A bit of a tricky departure with wheelslip moments but eventually found its grip on the rails. Next, see's the arrival of 570 'Robin Hood' the only diesel hydralic locomotive which then awaits for its next duty to take over from another locomovie to give the crew a chance for a break. A short 10 minutes ride on board 1932 'Triton' to Scalby Mills via the passing loop near Scalby. At the loop, we see 1931 'Neptune' working a return service to Pleasom Park Scarborough. The arrival into Scalby Mills see's 1933 'Poseidon' and Georgina awaiting for their next duties. 1932 'Triton' shunts onto the turn table awaiting of what would be an hours wait as the trains run every 20 minutes. 1933 'Poseidon' departs with a service bound for Pleasom Park with a noisy departure due to the diesel hydralic engines. 570 'Robin Hood' is seen returning with a terminating service from Pleasom Park. A short walk back to Pleasom Park, Georgina is seen working a service back to Pleasom Park towards the passing loop to allowing clearance into Pleasom and for the service to pass each other. Drivers would exchange keys which operates the poins at Pleasom Park. The locomotive working to Scalby Mills was 1931 'Neptune'. Further down the line back towards Pleasom Park see's Georgina picking up speed towards the passing loop. The line was a top speed of 10 MPH. 1932 'Triton' makes an appearance after an hours wait for its next duty to Pleasom Park. Pleasom Park is also home to the Chinese Gardens which holds several events throughout the year from Battleships. 1933 'Poseidon' makes a speedy service to Scalby Mills. Finally and the last shot is 570 'Robin Hood' which departs with a service for Pleasom Park from Scalby Mills, taken near the tunnel. Locomotives numbered: 1931 'Neptune' 1932' Triton' 1933 'Poseidon' 570 'Robin Hood These locomotives was built during the 1930's, not 100% sure if these locomotives was steam to begin with than converted to diesel hydralic engines. The locomoties was built by company Hudswell Clarke which bought a mix of diesel hydralic and steam locomovies to narrow gauge lines. Georgina is the only locomotive at the North Bay Railway without a number and is possibly the newest steam locomovie on a narrow gauge railway there is in the UK. Built in 2016, it has prooven to be quite a hit with the public and the volunteers. A great day for the gala. ******************************************************************** Thank You For Watching You Can follow me on: Twitter: @NowisRicky Flickr: ricnowis Instagram: ricsterpicster Facebook: Ricky Rail Sharing Community ©RickyNowisTrainspotting #NorthBayRailway #Georgina
