Beaulieu 2025: Starting Up The Sunbeam Slug

We had a fabulous weekend at Beaulieu International Autojumble and cleared out loads of old stuff. Ivan also had a really good look at a really special land speed record car. Back in 1927, the Sunbeam 1000hp, driven by Sir Henry Segrave was the first car to reach 200mph. Cherished by the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, the plan is to get it back in working order take it back to Daytona Beach in 2027 to celebrate the centenary. The team of engineers at the museum have been working hard to achieve this and one of the two 22.5 litre engines is up and running. This year at the International Autojumble at Beaulieu they started it up. Ivan and Suzie managed to get in on the action.
