P.S.: I know it says 1941 and not 1940, but it's too late for me to change it back now qwq ========== Okay, I know I never include detailed descriptions in my music uploads on this app, but this time this is a little different given its subject matter. On the 27th of November 1940, actor and martial arts legend Bruce Lee was born in San Fransisco. And on the 20th of July 1973, he passed away at the age of 32, with his most widely accepted cause of death being cerebral edema, or swelling of the brain. His final movie overall was Game of Death, and although Robert Clouse basically ruined Bruce Lee's original vision of that film, I really liked the end credits song, "Will This Be the Song I'll Be Singing Tomorrow?", originally sung by Colleen Camp. Now you may be wondering why I chose to mash "Will This Be the Song I'll Be Singing Tomorrow?" up with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" of all songs. And the reason is simple, yet it's actually very important to me… It was years ago when I watched my first Bruce Lee film… For context, my dad owned a few DVDs of Bruce Lee's films, including Way of the Dragon and Fist of Fury, the latter of the two later becoming my all-time favorite Bruce Lee film, and I wanted to watch Way of the Dragon since it seemed so interesting (I was like 5 or 6 then, idk tho), so I watched it with my dad, and… I guess you could say it was like a love at first sight, because the moment I saw Bruce Lee's fighting and acting skills, I immediately fell in love with it… And possibly with Bruce Lee himself… and then a couple of years later (so at this point I'm like 7 or 8), I'm rummaging through the family DVD box looking for a new movie to watch by myself in my room, when I (accidentally?) come across Fist of Fury, a movie starring Bruce Lee that I had never seen before up until that point, and suddenly all those memories of watching Bruce Lee's films for the first time came flooding back in… I popped it into my DVD player, and it felt like the first time I saw Bruce Lee all over again! Now, I'm 15 (at the time of uploading this) and I'm still very much into Bruce Lee's works… …And likewise, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was also important to me as a kid, and it still is to me now, as a teen. My mom's been singing it to me ever since I was an infant, and ever since then it's kind of become my theme song in a way. So in short, the reason for this combination of songs for this important event in the Martial Arts fandom is because Bruce Lee's been important to me ever since I was a little girl, and so was the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow. ============== Happy Heavenly Birthday, Bruce Lee 11/27/40 - 7/20/73 Thank you for inspiring many martial artists around the world, giving us philosophy to live by, and for shaping part of my childhood… 💛🖤🐉 ============== This mashup was made with Online Sequencer, a website where you can create your own music without needing to pay for anything which I've been using since I was like 10 or something ^^ #brucelee #bruceleemovies #music #bruceleemusic #mashup #mashupmusic #musicmashup #musicmashups #gameofdeath #somewhereovertherainbow #overtherainbow #willthisbethesongillbesingingtomorrow #sad #midi #midimusic #onlinesequencer
