The implementation of MonsoonSIM into an Undergraduate Intermediate Financial Accounting Course

www.MonsoonSIM.com Professor Susan Convery will cover the implementation of MonsoonSIM into an undergraduate intermediate financial accounting course. Susan runs the platform to teach students the process of running an inventory business and the accounting issues that follows. Students will be developing a strategic plan for managing inventory when participating in the game, and evaluate their contribution to the team’s performance in a competitive business environment. Susan will explain her MonsoonSIM schedule, configurations and assessments. Additionally, Susan will outline student feedback for the integration of MonsoonSIM in her course. Speaker profile: Susan Convery has been a fixed-term Professor in the Broad College of Business’ Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Michigan State University since 2008 and is an Emeritus Professor from Eastern Michigan University. Professor Convery has a Ph.D. in Accounting and B.A. in Business Administration from Michigan State University and an M.S. in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University. She teaches the Intermediate Financial Accounting I course to accounting and finance undergraduate students and the undergraduate government and not-for-profit accounting course. She received the American Taxation Association/Deloitte Innovative Teaching Award in 2018 with Severin Grabski and Edmund Outslay.
