Cake: https://hollandscakesblog.wordpress.c... 250g sugar 250g butter 5 eggs 250 flour 2tsp vanilla 2 tsp bicarb of soda Buttercream: • Simple BUTTER CREAM by HOLLAND'S CAKES 200g butter 400g icing sugar (sifted) 1 tsp vanilla 2 tbsp milk White food colouring (optional) Other things: Balloon stick 1kg Fondant (10 drops yellow, 1 drop brown, but just experimen Gum paste handle Cocoa for highlights Beer can Method: 1. Make 5x 4” cakes and cool 2. Level, simple syrup then fill and stack with balloon stick 3. Crumb coat and chill for at least an hour 4. Cover cake board with brown fondant, texture and colour ( • Coffin Cake | Holland's Cakes ) 5. Final ice and chill for 30 mins 6. Colour fondant, roll out into rectangle and push down with offset spatula 7. Cover sides of cake by wrapping around fondant using a rolling pin 8. Cut circle for the top, poke hole and place on cake 9. Cover stick in brown fondant and add drips 10. Highlight indents with lines with cocoa power, then blend 11. Pipe buttercream on top of cake in round blobs. Add a few down side of cake 12. Push handle into side of cake 12.
