The Trek Madone Gen 8 has been making waves in the cycling community as soon as it came out earlier this year. One of the biggest controversies was the discontinuation of the Trek Emonda line, which supposedly was consumed by the new Trek Madone. Well, I have been lucky enough for Trek to loan me one of their SLR Madones for a few months so I could test it out and find if it is a worth successor to the Gen 7 Madone and also the Emonda. In this video I dive into my first impressions, how the Madone compares to the Emonda and finally some little gripes I have with the bike. Its a great bike but it ain't perfect....yet.
