Val Istredd was the former lover of Yennefer of Vengerberg, he even went as far as to propose to Yennefer. There however was one man who stood in between Yennefer and Istredd, Geralt of Rivia, for Yennefer wasn't sure who of the two she actually loved and wanted to be with.
