I'm not particularly keen on a lot of Pokémon's battle themes and although Rogue Mega Pokémon Battle has some interesting things going on, it wasn't an exception for me. The original song is kind of monotonous and remixing it proved to be a bit of a challenge. But I like challenges. I wanted to use mallets from the start to make it stand out from the original; in the end it became much more aggressive than I initially intended. It has quite a heavy breakbeat/drum & bass/neurofunk (I don't even know anymore but who cares, genres are just a restrictive construct) vibe now. Oh well.
