Reality of Studying in France 🇫🇷 | Part-Time, Internship & French Language Truth (2026)

Hi guys, In this video, I’m sharing my honest experience as an international student in France. I came to France in September 2025, and this video is not to scare anyone — it’s to prepare you mentally and financially before starting your journey. I talk about 3 very important things: 1️⃣ Importance of French language 2️⃣ Reality of part-time jobs in Paris 3️⃣ Internship market in France and other European countries Before coming to France, I only learned basic French on Duolingo. After arriving, I took around 45–50 hours of French classes on Preply, paying around 20 euros per 50-minute class. But due to financial pressure and no part-time job, I had to stop. I applied to 250+ restaurants, cafés, stores (Zara, H&M, McDonald's, Starbucks, Indian restaurants, local cafés) and received zero callbacks. I also applied to 400 internships across France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium and attended multiple job dating events at INSEEC. Most companies required French-speaking candidates (more than 90%). The goal of this video is simple: ✔️ Learn French seriously before coming ✔️ Keep at least 12–18 months of financial backup ✔️ Do not depend on part-time income immediately France is a beautiful country with opportunities, but preparation is very important.
