Solo canoe trip starting at Lake Opeongo. I headed up Lake Opeongo into the North Arm. Portaged to Proulx Lake. From Proulx, I paddled north up the Crow River into Little Crow Lake and on to Big Crow Lake where I stayed my first night. The next morning I paddled east down the Crow River. The river eventually opened up to Crow Bay on Lake Lavieille. After paddling two sections of the bay I entered Lake Lavieille. I headed south down Lake Lavielle into Hardy Bay and to the portage to Dickson Lake. I paddled south down Dickson Lake and around a point to the west which will bring you to the Dickson Bonfield portage. From the portage it is a quick paddle across Bonfield Lake. This portage brought me to Wright Lake. After another quick paddle across the two sections of Wright Lake I found the portage on the south west corner of the lake. The portage is a simple short trail that ends between two open campsites on the East Arm of Lake Opeongo. Lake Opeongo was very calm so I pushed on as far as I could. I paddled into the night and pulled over to camp at a campsite close to the Eastern Narrows. I woke up early and paddled south through the narrows down to the access point in the South Arm.
