Backstroke Body Positioning Drill Left Side Popped This drill is great for finding your body position in backstroke. Now, take that challenge up a notch by adding an object on your head to test your steadiness as you travel through the water. Unlike the counterpart of this drill, we will focus on maintaining a slightly popped position. We find it helps our swimmers find the amount of rotation we want our swimmers to have when performing backstroke. No equipment will be used in this variation of the drill, your swimmers are ready! The swimmers should keep their head super steady. n. Our swimmers will need to engage their core while performing this drill. Minimize any swaying of the shoulder and hips. Engage the core and focus on the up kick! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced swimmer, backstroke starts with a good body position. Key Points: -Hold A Popped Position With Left Shoulder In The Air.
