Here is one of a number of historic Irish uilleann pipe records by Seamus Ennis from 1938. He was born in 1919, and died in 1982, and played a set made in 1836, including chanter!, in C-sharp made by Coyne, which was owned by Liam O'Flinn after Seamus passed away. Because Liam died recently, this 1836 set is now owned and replicated by pipemaker sirnamed Dwyre. This is "The Bucks of Oranmore", one of the toughest of the reels as he says. I have no idea why he likes to make sure the drones are the first and last thing we hear on the record including over his speech. Also I have no idea who the heck this Loui friend is, but maybe just some sort of dear friend.
