UPDATE: Sgt. Hill of the Pittsfield Police Department confirms one fatality and four injuries in the Dewey Avenue shooting incident from Saturday night. Hill said two patients were in intensive care, one was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and a fourth had been treated and released. Patients were sent to both Baystate Medical Center and Berkshire Medical Center. Police say the name of the deceased is 25 year old Ronald Pinel Hill said the investigation is active, but that there is not an active search for a suspect at present, and stressed that there is no need for the public to be alarmed. One of the victims is under arrest, on unrelated charges, Hill said. Hill said no motive for the shooting is being offered at present, but said he expected the department would have a clearer picture Sunday afternoon.
