The Syrian presidency has accused Druze fighters in Sweida of violating a ceasefire that prompted the withdrawal of Syrian government forces from the region. In a strongly worded statement, Damascus condemned the alleged violence by these factions and blamed Israeli interference for escalating the situation. Shortly after the withdrawal, Israeli airstrikes were reported near Sweida—marking the first such strikes in the area. Witnesses reported Israeli ground incursions near southern Damascus, including troop landings and vehicle movements near Qatna, Yafour, and along the Lebanese border. The HTS regime has not responded to these developments, while Syrian state media warns of further destabilization. #SyriaCrisis #SweidaClashes #IsraeliStrikes #DruzeFighters #MiddleEastTensions #HTS #Damascus #SyrianWar Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
