Tyler Truex of Mayetta won his biggest career race and a $7,127 prize by coming from behind in the 127-lap Cliff Krause Memorial at Wall Stadium. The night was emotional for fans honoring late promoter Cliff Krause, racer Jack Duffy, superfan Garry Owen McGuigan, and marked the 18th anniversary of Modified racer John Blewett III’s passing. At the start of the race, Steven Reed of Jackson held the lead as Andrew Krause from Freehold advanced rapidly through the field. Krause secured second position within six laps and subsequently challenged Reed until lap 22, when he assumed the lead. Meanwhile, Truex, who began in fifteenth place, was compelled to make an early pit stop for service before methodically progressing toward the front of the pack. Krause controlled the race until mechanical trouble on lap 111 forced him out. After several leaders pitted, Blake Barney stayed out, with Truex and Reed moving into the top three. Truex overtook Barney with three laps to go, followed by Reed in second, Carsten DiGiantomasso, James Blewett, and Barney rounding out the top five. Krause, ended up 17th after his hopes went up in smoke from winning his Dad’s event. Neil Rutt III of Colts Neck won the Sportsman main event in the 27-lap race. Rutt competed against several challengers in the later stages of the race and finished ahead of Billy Both from Rahway, Zach Lenardo from Iselin, Chris Silvestri from Hazlet, and Sean Vuksanic from Wall. Avery and Peyton Arthofer secured respectable ninth and tenth place finishes as they transition from several years of racing on flat tracks to competing on a banked track. Both athletes remain optimistic about the possibility that one of them may achieve a victory before the season concludes. Brian Osborn of Howell took the lead halfway through and won the 27-lap Factory Stocks race. Johnny Carpenter, Scott Riggleman, Nick Bilello, and James Hall finished second to fifth. Ryan Tidman of Southampton, Pa. won the 27-lap TQ Midgets race, leading from early in the non-stop event. Anthony Payne, Tyler Ferris, Jeff Kott, and Buddy Sload rounded out the top five.
