British Columbia Television (BCTV) producer Ross Sullivan had an idea for a kid's show that wasn't really a kid's show. He hired Susanne McLellan and Terry David Mulligan to host the program. This is probably the first appearance on the show by Bill Reiter as he performs various roles. Reiter and Mulligan had a history of C.B.C. comedy television co-hosting together. Sportscaster John McKeachie was called in (he makes reference to the early hour) to pretend to be a wacky sportscaster - not that much of a stretch for McKeach whose brash style and winning boyish charm made the real evening sportscast enjoyable for so many people for a lotta years.
