Are you looking for easy Christmas recipes with few ingredients? Try pinnekjøtt. Pinnekjøtt is a Norwegian Christmas traditional food, especially popular in the western part of Norway. It is made from cured lamb ribs. Some are smoked and salted, others are just salted. Soak the meat in water for about 30 hours to remove most of the salt. Steam it for 3 hours. This results in tasty and delicious Pinnekjøtt. Serve with Pureed Rutabaga (often called Kålrabistappe) and Vossakorv. Vossakorv is a smoked sausage made from mutton and other meats. Ingredients: 2,5 kg pinnekjøtt ca. Vann Kålrabistappe 500g cubed rutabaga 3 carrots Cream / matfløte Litt sjy fra pinnekjøttet Salt to taste pepper Smør Vossakorv Sausage Procedure: 1. Since the meat is salted and dried, it must be soaked before use. 2. Put the pinnekjøtt in a casserole or big bowl 3. Pour water until the pinnekjøtt is covered 4. Let the meat soak at room temperature for around 30 hours, to remove most of the salt. 5. On the day of the preparation, steam the meat / pinnekjøtt with the lid for 3 hours . Make sure that not all the water has evaporated 6. Let the sausage steam alongside the pinnekjøtt for the last 15 minutes. 7 When the meat can be easily removed from the bones it is finished and ready to eat. 8. Prepare the Kålrabistappe of rutabaga puree 9. Wash the rutabaga and carrots well, and cut them into cubes. 10. Put them into boiling water, and simmer for approx 20 minutes. 11. Remove the water and add butter, salt, pepper and cream. 12. Add a little bit of the pinnekjøtt broth for more taste. 13.
