Barolo Vignarionda - a 100 points Wine Enthusiast Italian red wine with Daniele Dellanoce.

The story of this magical cru began more than a century ago. The Canale family, moved by passion for wine and the terroir, with a pioneering attitude and making huge economic sacrifices, started to acquire some of the most beautiful vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba. In 1934 came the purchase of the jewel in the crown Vigna Rionda. Ester Canale's father Amelio, replanted the vineyards of the Particle 251P/Vigna Rionda in 1946. Davide Rosso, Amelio's grandson, replanted part of this vineyard with clones from the original 1946 vines and conserved only a few of the original rows (about 0,4 hectares). Only these old vines with deep roots and very low yields give life to the iconic Barolo Vigna Rionda.
