Here is a short video of a couple local jobs in the South Bay region of Southern California. The UP LOW10 Torrance Local, with a trio of completely tagged Geeps, heads south through Downtown Gardena, street running on Vermont Ave before curving to the west. The power runs around the loaded centerbeams, and UP 1375, a rare GP40P-2, now in the lead position, shoves the train westward on the old Pacific Electric branchline to Crenshaw Lumber. The train is seen making a couple switch moves at the lumber plant before jumping over to our next train. The BNSF Y-WAT1011 1st Watson Job heads north from Watson through the scenic community of Lawndale, enroute to the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo, with the only remaining H3 GP60M on point. The train shuffles tank cars around the yard before pulling back south around the wye, underneath the Douglas Metro Green Line station. In the future, the Lawndale section will be completely torn out and turned into a shared right-of-way with BNSF and Metro light rail. Thanks for watching! © 2025 LARailProductions
