30 Years of Investment: A Timeline for Success

This is a timeline of key investments and awards that illustrate how ongoing success is a dedication to making quality, people, space, and technology the centre of attention at PP Control & Automation. Just over 30 years ago, PP Control & Automation, then known as Power Panels, was awarded BS570, becoming one of only a handful of manufacturers in the UK to be recognised. It came within a year of David Fox purchasing the business and setting a blueprint for quality and lean manufacturing. The rest as they say, is history... 1990 Awarded BS750. 1993 Registered as Power Panels Electrical Systems Ltd. Introduced Lean production. First large machine builder partnership. 1998 Panel Builder of the Year 2000 School of Excellence established. 2004 Best of the Black Country award. 2005 3 Best Factory awards. 2006 2 Manufacturing Excellence awards. 2007 First Artos machine purchased. Awarded Investors in Excellence. First facility extension built. 2008 3 Best Factory awards. 2010 Second facility extension built. 2011 Second Artos machine purchased. 2015 Route 6% continuous improvement programme established. Carpark purchased. 2017 Name changed to PP Control & Automation. Third facility extension built. TMMX Customer Focus award. 2018 Acquired by Ardenton Capital. 2019 Third Artos machine and world first in crimping technology purchased. 2020 Investment in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) manufacturing facility. 2021 Solar panel investment.
