Ilya Tsaruk was Born on 11-19-1998 in Kostopil in the Rivne Oblast western Ukraine to Vasil and Irina Tsaruk. On the 29th of July 2003 the Tsaruk Family moved to the United States, Billy was 5 years old. The Family began their new life in Everett WA. living in Everett for 5 years they then moved to Snohomish WA where Billy lived the remainder of his life. While living in Snohomish He eventually finished school and Graduated from Monroe high school in June 2017. Billy Began employment immediately after high school in the construction industry as a Tile setter. Being skilled in his work Billy rapidly grew and developed in the industry, eventually having part ownership in a successful general contracting firm with his 2 brothers. Despite the skills and talents that he developed in his work, what truly made Billy stand out was his remarkably generous heart. He truly had a heart of Gold. His genuine love and care for others was expressed in his service for his church. As a young man he went on multiple missionary trips combined with holding a leadership role in his youth group and eventually in the young couples ministry. This lifestyle of service ultimately led to Billy becoming the go to guy for many people in his church and family. Countless amount of people have story after story of Billy always helping them in very unique ways. As Billy aged he eventually began searching for a wife to continue his life with. Sophia being part of the same church, caught his eye and he fell in love. From the very first moments of his interest in Sophia; it was evident of his deep love for her. He absolutely adored her. Sophia Tsaruk (Kovalevich) was born on 12-26-1997 In Federal Way, Washington. Sophia was the 10th Child Born to Anatoliy and Yelena Kovalevich. She was raised in a big Family of 16 Siblings living most of her life in Marysville WA. Upon marrying Ilya she lived the remainder of her life in Snohomish Washington with her Husband and their son Logan. Sophia loved learning and went through school and college as a honor student maintaining a mostly perfect 4.0 GPA; graduating high school in June of 2015, she also was baptized in water that same summer. Sophia completed college as a registered nurse in June 2022. Holding various jobs to make it through college Sophia eventually gained employment as a registered nurse after her graduation. Being an amazing Student and Nurse was only part of what made Sophia so special. Where Sophia truly shined was with her love and care for others and her angelic voice. Ever since she was a little girl she loved singing, she is most remembered by her siblings as the worshipper in her family. Singing and worshiping at home at all times. Her love for singing led her to be in the leadership team in her church’s worship department. She also served as a choir director for the children’s choir and sang regularly on Sundays in the worship group; usually as the lead voice. Sophia spent her entire life dedicated to serving her church. She had a talent and an eye for interior design and was one of the lead designers for her current church’s 5 year long construction project. Time and time again her friends and family were inspired and amazed at her dedication to her work and sacrifice. As Sophia grew into a woman she was ready to enter into marriage and was noticed by another amazing and like minded man with an equally servant heart; Ilya (Billy) Tsaruk. Billy wasted no time expressing his love for Sophia and eventually winning her heart with his dashingly good looks and charm. Asking for her hand in marriage they got married on August 8th 2020. Shortly after marriage God gifted them a son on March 31st 2023 who they named Logan. In the summer of 2024 Billy and Sophia announced that they were expecting a second child a baby girl who they planned to name Melody in honor of their love of singing. Melody was Due December 24th. In the 4 years that they lived together they were most known for their passionate singing in the worship group in their church and for their extraordinary methods of doing things for others, whether it was for a friend or a stranger they never did anything half heartedly. Sophia and Billy’s final act of service to their church was their year long design project for the church construction. Spending many hours sourcing and making material selections they made their final design selection, the project was completed just a few days before they flew out to vacation. On September 14th 2024 Billy and Sophia tragically passed away while vacationing in Hawaii. As Sophia was planning her vacation she was heard saying “We are going to get some rest” This trip ended up being the final place of rest for the loved ones. They are now at an eternal rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Their tireless efforts of service and love for others will forever burn in our hearts. Ilya (Billy) was 25 years old Sophia was 26 years old Melody was yet to be born on December 24th 2024
