After one bite, my face turned the color of a fire engine, and sweat started pouring down my forehead. I desperately needed more water. I saw the waiter and tried to remember the word for "hot" or "burning." In my panic, my brain switched to English, but with a terrible accent. I pointed at my mouth and yelled, "I am very hot! I am so hot right now!" The restaurant went silent. People stopped eating. The waiter slowly raised an eyebrow and looked me up and down. You see, in English, saying "I'm hot" can mean you are feeling the temperature, but it can also mean "I am very attractive and sexy."
