Plasma Jet demonstrates the internal APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray) thermal barrier coating applied inside a gun barrel section using a special internal extension torch. The coating is performed on a 100 mm diameter, 300 mm long steel barrel segment, simulating the muzzle zone of a real gun barrel. This process forms a high-temperature ceramic insulation layer that protects the inner surface against thermal shock, erosion, and oxidation during firing cycles. Developed by Plasma Jet’s engineering team, with expertise from the aerospace and defense industries, this technology ensures superior thermal protection and extended barrel life.
