Is the Naturehike Vik 2 really a good tent for Dartmoor wild camping? In this video, I take my first ever wild camp in the Naturehike Vik 2 ultralight tent, pitching up on Dartmoor’s highest ridgeline. This adventure takes me to Yes Tor, right next to High Willhays — the highest point in the South West of England, south of the Brecon Beacons. I wanted to know: Can the Naturehike Vik 2 handle Dartmoor’s unpredictable weather? Is this ultralight, single-skinned tent actually practical for UK backpacking? During this camp, I also test out a new budget-friendly sleeping pad — the Light Tour Air Mattress — which might be a quieter, cheaper alternative to the Thermarest NeoAir X-Therm, a favourite among serious backpackers.
