E24: "SOMEBIRDY GET THIS HAT OFF MY HEAD!!" SWFL EAGLES ~ NEST OF M15 & F23 💕🐣🪺🦅🌴 12.14.24 Welcome E24 to the world!! Watch the hatch of M15 & F23's new eaglet! Their precious eaglet has been working so hard to hatch itself from it's previous home for the last 37 days. Taking little breaks to regain it's energy before trying again. It's tiny neck isn't quite strong enough to hold itself upright yet but this first milestone actually helps the eaglet strengthen all those muscles it's never used before. It managed to free itself but ends up wiggling its little bobblehead back into the shell cap when Mom tried to incubate to keep it warm. She got back up just a few minutes later to let it work it's way out some more.🐣💕🦅 I can just imagine E24 "MOM!! A little help here!! Get this hat off my head, would ya??" 🐣😵‍💫 M15 & F23 began vocalizing back and forth- "M, the baby is here! But it's got it's head stuck!" M15 hopped down shortly after for Daddy duty while F23 had a few bites from a meal he provided earlier. He greets his new eaglet with some tender beakies and hunkers down to incubate the tiny bobblehead, eggshell hat and all. 💕🐣🪺🦅🌴 Soon the eaglet will dry off and become the most adorable fluffy bobblehead ready for it's first meal. Egg #2 should pip in the next day or two if all goes well.
