Is this necessary? I... I think so. I think it's necessary. I think. ...Is it? No. Yes? This is just a sample of the internal monologue I've had in regards to uploading this album. It's already been uploaded twice on this site, with one of those videos being posted by a long-time internet friend, lazylazypunk (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnPQ.... But... here's the thing. I like The Fritz. I really, really like The Fritz. Over three years after the band's debut, their first demo is still one of my all-time contemporary punk favorites, without a doubt (https://thefritz1.bandcamp.com/album/.... To me, it's borderline legendary with how much staying power those five songs have in my mind. Since then, the band has continued to be a reliable underground hit-maker with their preceding "Demo II" and self-titled LP, with tracks like "Creative Death" and "Fatal Action" repeatedly resurging in my mind without prompting, titillating my synapses with their infectious rock 'n' roll swing at random. And I'm very happy to see that the trend has yet to subside with the band's latest EP, "Rockin On Crane Pl.", released in May of this year. It's equally as incredible and infectious as the band's previous releases, featuring a collaborative effort with Mat Williams (of Liquids, Dagger, The Coneheads, etc. etc. etc.), who hasn't seen immediate involvement with the band since their original demo. Combine that talent with Clay Fritz' killer knack for unforgettable songwriting, presumably built up after years of playing in bands like Pukeoid, Scabs, and even the aforementioned Liquids, and it's no wonder why this four-track EP is as delightful as it is. It's just quality, straight-forward garage rock despondency of the finest caliber. If you missed this album back when it first released, be sure to luxuriate in it now. Way more people need to listen to this thing. TRACK LIST: Knocking Me Around - 0:00 Sadistic Dreams - 2:51 Hypertension - 4:51 Shattered - 5:51 DOWNLOAD: https://thefritz1.bandcamp.com/album/...
