18 year old Balinese surfer Ketut Agus didn't live near the beach growing up. The family home is in Denpasar, Bali's capital city - that's a 30 minute drive to the nearest beach without traffic, most days it's closer to an hour. Luckily his father's job as a lifeguard meant a young Ketut could surf 3 to 4 days a week and by the time he was sixteen he convinced his parents to let him go to school in Kuta, where he lives now. He's a big fan of Mick Fanning's surfing, and it shows in his own approach, with a fast, compact style. Before the cancellation of the WSL events, Ketut was competing on the QS, with the long term goal of qualifying for the CT.
