BASIC MAINTENANCE FEATURES ON YOUR SAWGRASS PRINTER: COLOR DEMO PAGE: Designed to test the colors in your nozzle channel and show you how your images will look before printing the final print. NOZZLE CHECK: The nozzle check is used to check if the print head nozzles are printing properly. If the lines on the test print are broke, you will need to follow the steps for a head clean or head flush. HEAD CLEAN: Perform a head cleaning when print quality is affected by missing nozzles. Head cleaning consumes ink but is sometimes necessary to achieve a full nozzle check. After an ink cartridge is replaced, a print head cleaning will be automatically performed. Perform a head cleaning up to five (5) times in an attempt to clear missing nozzles. Print and check for any changes in the nozzle check test pattern between each head clean. Do not turn the printer off during print head cleaning. If the printer is turned off during a print head cleaning, start again by printing a nozzle check test. HEAD FLUSH: In instances where a nozzle check displays broken or missing nozzles, or you are experiencing lines in print output, you will need to perform a series of head flushes. We recommend checking output quality after each flush. If your output has not significantly improved after five flushes, please reach out to Sawgrass Care for assistance. Perform a head flush only if print head nozzles cannot be recovered by 2-3 head cleanings. Do not turn the printer off during print head flushing. If the printer is turned off during print head flushing, start again from printing the nozzle check test pattern. Follow us on social media!
