With a familiar feeling and very intuitive layout, the new CP stage pianos feature a wide range of Yamaha's acclaimed piano sounds, a dedicated electric piano section as well as huge selection of synth, pad, bass and other instruments to choose from. Split into three sections, Pianos, Electric Pianos and the "Sub" category, sounds can be layered and blended with ease. Effects can be inserted on individual voices, and then there's a master reverb and analog or digital delay, with separate levels for each section. So all in all, the CP88 and 73 allow you to be really creative, tweaking and creating sounds on the fly with everything at your fingertips...really inspiring keyboards to play. Both of these models are identical internally in terms of tones, effects and features, but whereas the more compact CP73 has a 73 note weighted keyboard, the larger CP88 features a more authentic feeling graded piano hammer action keybed, with wooden ebony/ivory effect keys.
