At 15, Georgia moved from the Gold Coast to Melbourne to dance with the Australian Ballet School. But it was a recent trip to the US that inspired her to establish her own studio. "I visited a few major dance studios there, including Steps in New York and a few others in LA," she said. "I was super inspired by the studios and the way they run classes which is different to Australia. Georgia talks about opening her own studio, how she hopes to inspire young dancers to believe in themselves. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
