Fox Knives Trapper Review Part 1

Fox Knives Trapper Review Part 1 of a series of videos reviewing FOX's TRAPPER fixed blade knife. This is one hardcore knife. The FOX TRAPPER FX132 is at first glance what appears to be an all round hunting and camping knife, if there is such a thing. The build of this knife is nothing short of solid, with good attention to detail and comfort, especially for a production knife. This may have something to do with it's manufacture in Italy however, we have also seen knives from the same company, with little thought to detail. Although solidly constructed the FOX TRAPPER KNIFE is not overtly heavy. You can't have a solid knife that is light, especially one with a full tang. So the name should give it away that there was some consideration given for hunting applications in the design here. The blade is weighty towards the tip which should make it a good chopper. But a chopper is not good enough as an axe is also a chopper. Having a Tanto style tip gives it some powerful penetrating properties should the knife be used as such. The belly of this knife differs from conventional designs by having both convex and concave regions. The convex section should prove more than adequate for skinning purposes, with the concave area useful for cutting fibrous materials, such as when gathering herbs etc. Could this also function as a hardcore survival knife too? Anyway enough said, this is just part 1. Stay tuned to see more videos of this knife actually being used in the field! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you like what you see and read here.
