"Using SolGel PZT to Jet Inkjet Printhead Actuators" Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) is piezoelectric material which is used as actuators or sensors in many kind of devices. By controlling the surface energy distribution with a SAM (Self-Assembled Monolayer) coating process, we successfully fabricated patterned 2 μm-thick PZT films by IJP technique, using a PZT precursor ink based on chemical solution deposition method. We also confirmed that the piezoelectric constant of the IJP PZT film was high enough to be used as an actuator of an inkjet head by experiment.
