The Data Explorer is a powerful tool that lets you slice, filter, and analyze trade data with ease. Whether you're looking for trade flows, tariffs, services, or economic indicators, this tool gives you full flexibility. Plus, you can integrate the data into your own workflow using our API. Accessing the Data Explorer To get started, click on “Data” in the top toolbar and select Data Explorer. Let’s walk through an example. Say you want to analyze integrated circuits trade between the U.S. and China for December 2024 and download a customized table. Select Your Dataset Once inside, choose United States from the National Datasets section. Then, decide how you want to view the data—by district, state, or port. The available geographic disaggregation will depend on each different national dataset. Customize Your Table Next, click "Add Column" to select your data fields. Here, you can access trade value, air weight, and vessel weight, depending on data availability. Apply Filters Now, let’s refine the data: Product: Choose HS4 and type Integrated Circuits. Time: Set the year to 2024 and the month to December. You can select multiple years or months if needed. Partner Country: Under Partner, select China. Retrieve & Export Your Data Once your filters are set, click outside the "Add Column" section, and your table will update instantly. To download the data: Click CSV to save it to your computer. Click the three dots for additional file formats. To integrate with your workflow: Click the API button at the bottom right and copy the link to pull the data into your system. And that’s it! With just a few clicks, you can explore and extract the data you need. Try it yourself and unlock powerful trade insights with the Data Explorer!
