Delicious, flavorful and spicy Mangalorean White Pomfret and Lady fish (Kane) Jeere Meeri (Cumin & Pepper) fish curry. Ingredients: 1/2 kg white pomfret 1/2 kg Lady fish Salt to taste oil for frying 1 sliced onion for tempering (clean, wash and cut the fish, apply salt for the fish and set aside for 20 mins) For the masala : grind to a thick smooth paste adding little water 1 Tbsp cumin seeds 1 tsp pepper corns 1/2 tsp mustard (optional) 1/4 tsp turmeric pwd 3 red seal dry chillies 7 Kashmiri chillies ( deseed a few to tone down the spice) 3 tbsp freshly grated coconut 5 cloves of garlic 4 to 5 big onions chopped Salt to taste 1 medium ball of tamarind Add 1 tbsp oil to an utensil, fry one sliced onion add the ground masala paste and fry for 2 to 3 mins till the raw smell of garlic and onion fades and you get a nice aroma. Add the reserved masala water and some additional water and adjust the consistency of the gravy to a medium thick. Adjust the salt when the gravy boils, add the fish. Cook for 1 to 2 mins or till the fish is cooked garnish with a few fried onions. Serve hot with rice and enjoy a delicious meal. Thanks for watching Please like, subscribe and share my videos.
