In this talk we will explore efficient techniques for game asset creation that can help you with the process of creating 3d for Game Jams, as well as Prototyping. We'll cover the importance of setting pillars to create rulesets to guide your design process, time management and make deliberate choices. The talk will focus on the use of simple methods and styles to make something stunning and visually appealing, without it being time consuming. The talk is aimed towards beginner to intermediate, but my hope is that whatever your past experience is, that there are some takeaways for everyone. Kim is Lead Environment Artist working at EA DICE. She has around 10+ years experience in game development and VR creation. She has worked on titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Apex Construct, and Battlefield. Beyond her day job, she enjoys speaking at schools, events, and streaming while working on freelance projects.
