Showcased through a series of looping videos, each projection brings the audience into the memories of an individual longing to find their way back to their roots through memories of their past, present, and future. This installation showcases that, at our core, there is an inner child within us that deserves unconditional love and nurturing. It is also a reminder of what memory may mean to us and how it serves as a way toward healing the traumas that cloud the love we have within, hoping to be let out. This is a journey of self-discovery and re-discovering parts of ourselves that we thought we may have lost touch with. The exhibition is a deep dive not only into the story of our inner child, self-exploration, and memory—but also a display of what it feels like to connect (or be disconnected) to memories of our past; reminiscent of the nostalgia and bittersweet feelings of longing for what once was or was never there, to begin with.
