140mph Pursuit Mercedes Get Pitted Into Fire Hydrant

February 22, 2025, I was traveling west on Interstate 40 near the 178-milepost. I observed a gray Mercedes passenger car bearing California license plate 9NVZ306 traveling west in front of me in the left lane. The Mercedes was continuously driving in the left lane and was passed on the right by an SUV. This violates Arkansas traffic law 27-51-301 (Impeding the Flow of Traffic or Continuously Driving in the Left Lane). I attempted made a traffic stop near the 178-milepost at 5:09 p.m. The vehicle pulled to the right shoulder and stopped. As I exited my patrol vehicle, the brake lights on the passenger car illuminated. I stopped next to my patrol unit and told the driver to take their foot off the brake and roll the window down. Through my training and experience, I know this is a tactic used by suspects to wait until the officer exits the vehicle before attempting to flee. The driver’s front window rolled down and I could see a white male with tattoos on his face looking back at me in the driver’s side mirror. I told him to turn the car off and to not even think about it (fleeing). I advised him to put the keys on top of the car. The brake lights illuminated again, and he began to flee in the vehicle westbound towards Lonoke. I advised Arkansas State Police Troop A dispatch that I was in pursuit at 5:10 p.m. Speeds reached over 130 miles per hour in a 75-m.p.h. zone. He passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed on the right shoulder showing wanton disregard for any human life or property. He gained distance away from me, but I was able to observe him take the 175-milepost exit into Lonoke. I lost sight of the vehicle and discontinued the active pursuit of the vehicle. A short time later, Trooper Robert Plyler (A-38), observed the car on State Highway 70 traveling westbound and the vehicle began to flee from Trooper Plyler. The pursuit was ended later by a Tactical Vehicle Intervention technique by Trooper Tanner Crossland (A-21) in Pulaski County. This will be detailed in incident report number 202503228ASP. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Dominick Copenhaver DOB: 01/08/1990. His driver’s license revealed to be revoked out of Maryland. I was able to positively identify him as the driver that was driving when I initiated the initial pursuit on Interstate 40. An affidavit will be prepared and sent to the prosecutor for review with the following charges from Lonoke County: 5-54-125- Fleeing by Vehicle- Felony- With Substantial Danger of Death-Class B Felony 27-50-308-Reckless Driving-1st- Class A Misdemeanor 27-16-303- Driving on Revoked Driver’s License- Misdemeanor 27-51-308- Improper Passing on Right- Traffic 27-51-301- Impeding the Flow of Traffic or Continuously Driving in the Left Lane- Traffic SUBSCRIBE OR I TAKE YOUR DOG ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ follow me on Instagram   / lrhn_caash   😎 follow me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 😎 follow me on twitter https://x.com/LRHN_Cash ✨😎 follow me on tiktok https://www.tiktok.com/@lrhncaash?_t=... 😎✨ Follow me on twitch   / lrhn_cash   🥶 #fyp #highspeedchase #lrhn
