Hidden Gem Cowbury Reservoir & Buckton Moor - 🚁 Calming Drone Views ⛰️ Buckton Castle & Quarry

Just before the rain returned this May, I got up to the surprisingly little-known Cowbury Reservoir (unless you're local of course). It was a little windy but it was great for sunshine and cloud-shade rolling over the hillside. Cowbury Reservoir is on the edge of Carrbrook, Stalybridge. Right on the edge of Tameside in Greater Manchester. You might have read about it recently in the news, as a site that was victim to a rare British Tornado! I say this often if you read my description of this area, but it's that straggling area that was left out of the Peak District, but is directly attached by the moorland. But you won't notice any difference to walk over the invisible border there. It's a nice quiet spot that gets it's fair share of locals walking up on the weekends and evenings, but it's much more peaceful than nearby Brushes or Dovestone Reservoirs. So add it to the list of 'Everyone needs to spread out a bit' walks 😄 Later in the video I pass over the edge of Buckton Castle and Buckton Vale Quarry. Worth a peek on their own for interest.
