If you’ve ever felt like you had to pull, yank, or force your horse to get a response — this video will change the way you see softness forever. One of the biggest mistakes I see riders make is going straight to cranking a horse’s nose around, thinking that flexion equals softness. But real softness doesn’t start at the nose — it starts at the base of the neck, with understanding, patience, and timing. In this training, I walk you step by step through how I develop softness with any horse, even stiff or braced ones, by teaching: How to start with tipping, not pulling How to progress into true bend without resistance When and how to introduce full lateral flexion Why vertical softness (lowering the head) creates calm, trust, and connection What softness should look and feel like — so you don’t accidentally reward bracing This isn’t about forcing your horse to comply. It’s about helping your horse understand, relax, and willingly come with you. Softness creates: ✔ Better communication ✔ Safer rides ✔ A calmer, more confident horse ✔ A rider who doesn’t feel like they’re constantly fighting If fear, stiffness, or lack of responsiveness has been holding you back — this work matters more than you think.
