A34 - Oxford Western Bypass - Southbound Part 1

The A34 is one of the longest A-roads in Britain, running for 200 miles (320km) from Winchester on the south coast to Salford near Manchester, although it is now split into two halves which are joined by the M40 motorway. Between Winchester and Oxford, the A34 is a busy dual carriageway, linking together the M3, M4 and M40 motorways, and the main link between the English Midlands, and the Channel coast ports of Southampton and Portsmouth. Most of this stretch was upgraded to dual carriageway between the 1960s and 1990s. This video shows a southbound journey along the A34, from the Pear Tree Interchange with the A40 and A44 to the north of Oxford, along Oxford's Western Bypass, to the junction with the A420. Filming date: August 2021.
