After traveling around the island for a week, we’ve written this Siquijor Island travel guide to help you find what to do so you can plan your own itinerary. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝: 1. Siquijor Island is a small island. However, at approximately 343.5 km2 in size, it's still a fairly big place to explore! 2. The main tourist area is San Juan. Here, you'll find some of the most popular Siquijor tourist attractions, seaside hotels, beautiful beaches, and affordable beach resorts. 3. Expect a more laid-back vibe. 4. Most people speak very good English and are very friendly and accommodating to travelers. 5. This mystic island has lots of white-sand beaches. 6. Traveling here is not expensive compared to other tourist destinations here in the Philippines. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞? Naia (Manila) ➡️ Dumaguete Airport ➡️ Ride a Roro/ FastCat (Dumaguete Port) ➡️ Siquijor Port 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 1. Chasing waterfalls. Visit the famous Cambugahay Falls. This epic waterfall features three tiers of magical cascades and crystal-clear blue water lagoons; it's one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines! 2. Sunset watching at Paliton Beach. 3. Explore the Siquijor Circumferential Road by motorcycle. 4. The best part! Freediving: Siquijor offers the best spot for freediving and has lots of marine sanctuaries. Freediving spots: Tubod Marine Sanctuary, Tulapos, Sawang, and many more. 5. Cliff jumping at Salagdoong Beach 6. Visit the Ancient Balete Tree and try the fish spa. 7. Rope-swim at Lagaan Falls or Cambugay Falls. 8. Chill on Tubod Beach 9. Snorkel at Tubod Marine Sanctuary 10. Tulapos Marine Sanctuary, check it out. It's also famous for a big school of barracudas that are drawn to the area. 11. Visit the Kawayan Holiday Report, one of the beautiful spots for picture-taking. 12. Don't miss out on the Pitogo Cliff for a breath-taking picture spot. Cliff-jumping is not advisable. 13. Visit the biggest & oldest convent in Asia, the Lazi Convent and go to the Lazi Church too. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲? We highly recommend KÂDÍJ Guesthouse. We also get our whole island tour from them. The staff is very kind, and our tour guide, Kuya Rho Bhert Maata, is very accommodating, as is Ate Bebe. Very laidback and relaxing. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬? Here are all the places we tried and dined at that we really highly recommend to all the tourists visiting Siquijor. 1. We just forgot the other names. 😅 But we guarantee you that all the places mentioned here are nice to visit, and they offer the best foods. We always tried the set order.
