The club in charge have recruited the resident lifeguards into the operation. And along with the trusty beach tractor and its highly charismatic and capable driver, the system is super slick and smooth. Big Boats Use the push rod method, if they are so equipped. With a stainless steel socket and plate installed between the motors on the transom - the tractor pulls the boat to the edge of the sandbank. Unhooks and goes around to the rear. Where the push pole is inserted. And next thing you are on the backline. Small Boats And boats with single engines, that cannot be pushed by the tractor, are simply dragged into the shore break. The huge 4wd tractor can handle any sized shore break with aplomb and some spectacular launches can be seen here at high tide on the spring. Holding area As you are pushed through the shorebreak, there is the holding area. As close to the rocks as you might dare, knowing that going too far north also puts you near rocks. And bathers. The holding area is big enough to circle a big boat if need be. But best is to just rather sit tight in that corner, warning your motors even more. Until you get a gap and off you go. Its a very short hop from the holding area to the back so take it fast and you should be fine. Returning Just hot the beach at the same angle you left it.
