Day 3: The Big Grey Glacier - Guided W-Trek (Patagonia) - South America Vlog

Day 3 : The Winds of Grey Glacier Today started with a hike from Refugio Paine Grande along the edge of Lake Pehoé, heading toward Lago Grey. The trail was full of dramatic scenery—windswept ridges, moody skies, and postcard-perfect views around every corner. Along the way, we even spotted a woodpecker doing its thing in the trees, which was a cool little moment before the big icy adventure. Eventually, we made it to the shores of Lago Grey, where the boat literally pulled up to the beach to pick us up—no fancy dock here, just classic Patagonia style. It was cold, it was wild, and it was windy. But the boat ride out to Glacier Grey was absolutely worth it. Getting that close to the glacier’s towering, electric-blue face was next-level. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better—we were handed pisco sours, made with glacier ice, while cruising past floating icebergs. Definitely a top-tier travel moment. After taking it all in, we made our way back toward Paine Grande, caught the bus, and returned to EcoCamp for a well-earned rest. A day full of cold wind, epic views, and glacier cocktails?
