Event recording Who Does Art Make Visible? Panel Discussion Cooper Gallery 3 April 2025 Informed by Suzanne Lacy’s involvement in the Working in Public Seminars (2006-8) organised by On The Edge Research (Gray’s School of Art), and the Scottish Arts Council (Creative Scotland) in partnership with Public Art Research+Resource (PAR+RS) nearly two decades ago, this panel discussion brought together artists, curators, arts administrators and community members to reflect on the current social and political contexts, the ethical approach and efficacy of social practice in contemporary arts and ask questions on the role of art in civic and political life in times of uncertainties.
