Today you’ll learn if you should get your IELTS test remarked, or not. Go to allearsenglish.com/insider for your free Video IELTS Masterclass! Were you disappointed by your recent IELTS scores? If so, are you considering getting your exam remarked? Consider all the facts before you make this decision. First of all, it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get the remarked results, after sending the Enquiry on Results Form. Not only that, but you have to send them your Test Report Form as well, meaning that you cannot use these scores for anything during that time. In light of the time commitment, you may be better off studying more and taking the test again. You could do that in a month, whereas waiting for the enquiry results might take two months. Plus, it costs money to have your exam remarked. The price varies from test center to center, so call your center to check. Now, if you are thinking you deserved higher Reading or Listening scores, you should know that those scores almost never change in a remark. For Speaking and Writing, if the score changes, it is almost never by more than half a band. So, if all you need is another 0.5 band, it may be worth it. But, you have to be very confident that you do indeed deserve a higher score before going through all this rigmarole. For most people, it is advisable just to prepare better and take the test again. In our online IELTS course, 3 Keys IELTS, we give you all the strategies and practice you need to score highly on all parts of the IELTS exam. Check out our online course now, the only one with a guaranteed score increase, at allearsenglish.com/keys.
