Shegaon is located in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra. A very popular saint Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj spent 32 years of his life in this beautiful village and took samadhi on 8th September 1910 in Shegaon. Gajanan Maharaj Mandir in Shegaon is the exact place where he took Samadhi. He changed the lives of many people and families through his spiritual knowledge and supernatural powers. Since then, a lot of devotees have traveled to this holy land of Sant Gajanan Maharaj from various parts of the world. Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, are known for their management and organization abilities and their methods are taught to various management students across the world. As Shegaon comes in the drought region, water scarcity issue was one of the major issues in Shegaon tehsil. Shri Gajanan Maharaj trust took the initiative to build Anand Sagar in Shegaon, where an artificial lake is created to beat the eater scarcity issues in Shegaon and nearby areas. Anand Sagar is one of the prominent and successful projects in India. In this video, We are taking you on a road trip journey from Dombivli to Shegaon. If you wish to travel by train/bus, Shegaon, Akola, Buldhana is the nearest railway station to Shegaon (every train does not stop in Shegaon railway station). After reaching Shegaon, we primarily went to book a room in Shegaon Bhakt Niwas. There are numerous Bhakt Niwas in Shegaon, as it was peak Diwali season we found it a bit hard to get a room in Bhakt Niwas near Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple. 1.5 Km from the temple, we then booked a 5-bed cottage room in VISAVA Bhakt Niwas Shegaon (Feedback, experience, prasadalay, and budget information are shared in the video). First things first, Post check-in we went to take the darshan of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj. Gajanan Maharaj Mandir management is something that I am in awe of. Right from the entrance to exit you will find volunteers in every corner to guide you. After taking Shri Gajanan Maharaj Darshan we ended our day in bhakt niwas.
