Portable Water Setup for Camping, RVs and Survival (Lightweight, Durable, Affordable)

Welcome to the Urban Survivor Channel and in this video we’re going to be taking a look at some water storage containers from Smart Bottle. These containers are designed to be easy to carry and they are collapsible and extremely lightweight making them ideal for storage and transportation. You can use these containers to store and transport water for camping, backpacking, boating or overlanding and even use them for emergency water storage and transportation and in survival kits. The smart bottles come in a ton of different sizes and the ones I have here are the 750ml travel size, the 1.3 gallon , 2.6 and the 5.3 gallon size. Here’s a look at their travel size which would be perfect to take backpacking, traveling or just tucked away in a backpack for some extra water storage. It’s also got a carabiner as well. This is the 1.3 gallon size which has a variable flow spout on the top and is ideal for water filtration which we’ll jump back to shortly. Here is the 2.5 gallon size which which has a plain top and also a spot as well and finally this is the 5.3 gallon zie which is the largest of the ones I have here with the fast flow spout. In addition to the spouts and caps that come with the bags there are also a bunch of different tops and attachments you can get for these bottles and here are a few of their most popular. This first one is compatible with sawyer minis and other similar water filters. You can set up a gravity fed filtration system using 2 bags and this attachment. There are also different attachments for hoses and also plain caps as well. Here’s a more up close of one of these bottles. They are really lightweight and foldable and they can also be carried flat if needed which is great because they don’t take up a lot of space. Alright so here we have the smart bottles all filled up. The 5.3 gallon size is on the left followed by the 2.6, the 1.3 and the 750mL travel size. Whats great about these bottles is that they can stand up as soon as you start to fill them up and they can remain upright even when partially full. As you can see you can easily carry these bottles with the the handle on top and most of these bottles including the 5 gallon, the 2.6 and the 1.3 also have handle on the bottom which you can use to carry them. The handles are comfortable and make it really easy to carry the water from one place to another. They are also quite durable. This is the 5 gallon size which is completelt filled and I just dropped it from waist height on concrete and it held up just fine. You can also use the handle on the bottom to hang the bottles as well. Here we have the 1.3 gallon size hanging at the moment. In this configuration you can easily turn the spout and as you can see you get a nice little flow of water. Overall I really like these bottles from Smart Bottle and they can be areally useful for a lot of different things. They are extremely portable, durable, lightweight and convenient to stoe and they make carrying water very easy. I keep a pair of these and the water filter attachement inside of my bug out bag as part of my water filtration set up and if you want to learn more about that there’s a link in the description below.
